From framing to finish

Finishing a basement or converting a garage means doing it in order: framing, insulation, drywall, windows and doors, flooring, trim. We handle each phase, and you can see every step in the photos below.

We've also finished out a backyard shed into an office with plank flooring, painted walls and a tongue-and-groove pine ceiling with a skylight.

What a bathroom remodel with us looks like

Most of the bathrooms we take on start with the same problem: old tile, a dated tub or vanity, and walls that haven't seen insulation in decades. We strip it back, fix what we find, and build it up again with tile, fixtures and storage that fit how you use the room.

Because tile is a big part of nearly every bathroom, it matters who sets it. Mike has completed formal training in installing large-format porcelain panels and slabs, including the substrate prep underneath. That's the part you never see and the part that decides whether a shower lasts.

If it's your only bathroom

Tell us up front. We had a repeat customer whose remodel was the only shower in the house. We removed the old tile walls, insulated and drywalled, tiled the shower with a custom niche and shelves, set the vanity and toilet, built a custom shelf cabinet and trimmed it out, all in a week and a half. Every job is different, but we plan the schedule around how you live.

Built for Colorado weather

Colorado's high-altitude sun is tough on decking, and freeze-thaw cycles are tough on everything else. That's a big reason many homeowners here choose composite boards, which don't need yearly staining and resist splitting. We build with composite or wood depending on your budget and how you want to maintain it.

Fences too

We also tear out tired fences and put up new wood privacy fences, the kind that actually block the view from the alley.

What's under the floor matters

When old flooring comes up, it sometimes shows water damage or rot underneath. We've replaced damaged subfloor and joist sections down to the framing before installing new flooring. That way your new floor isn't going down over a problem.

Stairs are part of the floor

Carpeted stairs are often the last thing left after new flooring goes in. We install new treads and painted risers so the stairs match the rest of the house.

The finish work that sticks with you

Railings, doors, trim and built-ins are what you touch every day. We take the same care on a one-day door install as on a full remodel.

Two kitchens, two very different looks

One of our recent kitchens went from honey-oak cabinets and tiled counters to navy shaker cabinets, a quartz island with seating, a matching pantry and a coffee bar, with new luxury vinyl plank running through the space. Another went the other direction: sage green cabinets, butcher block counters, a white farmhouse sink and a patterned tile backsplash over terracotta hex tile.

Floors, tile and trim included

A kitchen remodel touches almost everything: cabinets, counters, backsplash, flooring, trim. We do all of it, which means fewer hand-offs and fewer surprises between trades.

Trained in large-format porcelain

Large porcelain panels and slabs give showers and walls a clean, nearly grout-free look. They're also heavy, thin and unforgiving to install. Mike has completed course training in both installing gauged porcelain tile panels and slabs and preparing the substrate underneath them.

We also set the detailed stuff: terracotta hex, black-and-white octagon, patterned cement-look floors, herringbone shower walls and pebble accent bands.
